Designer: andreas kronthaler (vivienne westwood’s husband and collaborator) location: palais de tokyo, parisinspiration: "sexercise". personal memories: a mutual friend of the couple who became a buddhist nun, personal items like jewellery, sports clothing found at his parents houses, art and the painter pieter bruegelfocus on: a mixed, unisex collection. the large drapes, the tones of orange / burgundy/red. like this beautiful red velvet at the beginning of the collection+ the touch of gold + the expanded volumes like the shirts with xxl sleeves with re-embroidered collars or long capes note: the "gold label" line now becomes the line: "andreas krontahler for vivienne westwood." we feel a mix of both worlds, even if the vivienne touch is still very present. interview from andreas kronthaler:i think a collection is always somehow autobiographical. that is the way i work. i just look at things and collect things and do it without much thought. i just get immediately draw to something. it could be anything, you could meet somebody, see a film or go travelling or choose colours or go to a nice evening, anything. then i take away something from that. it is like a 4/5 month diary, where you build it all up; it is like building a house or a collection. there are a lot of sensual, spiritual influences i think. there is the unisex side to diffuse, not the sexes, but more in a symbolic way. i like a man, i like a woman, but we are living in a time where the borders come up again and it is so sad, as europe was so great as we were always together, and i hope we can sort it out. for me it is homage to that a little bit as well. i make the clothes on a dummy for a woman, i have always done this even in the past, then i would grade them up to make them bigger to 25% so i could wear it, so i can try them on and see what they are like or change them, in order to feel it. i like to feel what a woman feels. music of the show, (donot reuse for more than 7 days after the show)
