Very.co.uk links up with Sky Living for major campaign

Mass-market online department store retailer very.co.uk has launched a new marketing campaign this month with its first full channel sponsorship of satellite channel Sky Living.
The campaign runs for six months and includes TV, video on demand (VoD) and online with support via targeted mailouts. The aim is to show consumers how to “get more out of every day” by showcasing Very’s wide product range.
The Sky Living link will give Very major exposure to a core female audience during the run-up to the key Christmas shopping season as well as for Halloween, during clearance sale time and Valentine’s Day.
Very is owned by the UK’s second largest online-only retailer Shop Direct and is a key contributor to its parent’s £1.9 billion annual sales.
The company’s brand head Andrew said the deal gives Very “an always-on solution to support all department categories across the key Autumn Winter period, as well as January and February – which is a much quieter period for other retailers.”
He also said that Sky Living’s programming features strong female characters and there’s an obvious synergy with the Very offer. The TV channel airs basket of popular shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Nashville, Scandal, Madame Secretary, Blindspot and Criminal Minds and has also secured The Good Doctor.
