Woolmark Prize: full list of 12 international finalists

The International Woolmark Prize has unveiled its 12 finalists who will go head-to-head in the menswear and womenswear finals in, respectively, Florence in January and New York in February.

 


The 2015-16 International Woolmark Prize have thus far consisted of six regional finals, for Asia, Australia, the British Isles, Europe, the US and the India Pakistan and Middle East region. The winners from each event will thus be competing at the menswear and womenswear finals.

The former will see Munsoo Kwon (Asia), P.Johnson (Australia), Agi & Sam (British Isles), Jonathan Christopher (Europe), Suketdhir (India, Pakistan and Middle East) and Siki Im (United States) go head to head for the 100,000 Australian dollar prize.

The winner of the womenswear finals, with the candidates being J Koo (Asia), Bianca Spender (Australia), Teatum Jones (British Isles), Nanna van Blaaderen (Europe), Taller Marmo (India, Pakistan and Middle East) and Tanya Taylor (US) will receive the same amount.

In addition to the cash prize, the two victors will have their designs sold at Harvey Nichols (London), 10 Corso Como (Milan, Beijing and Shanghai), Matchesfashion.com and Mytheresa.com (online), Saks Fifth Avenue (New York), Joyce (China), Boutique 1 (United Arab Emirates) and David Jones (Australia).
