The rumor mill was abuzz after Victoria Beckham was spotted in the Miami Design District with her team in early June during a promotional tour for her upcoming SS16 collection. But, with alleged maps and floor plans in hand, and knowing that husband David Beckham plans to own a Major League Soccer franchise in Miami, talk quickly spread that the designer was there scouting for a location for a new store.

When contacted though, the British designer's press office said this "hasn't been confirmed", but did confirm that the next store slated to open will indeed be in Asia, in Hong Kong, in 2016.

In Hong Kong in May for the amfAR AIDS research fundraiser, which coincided with Art Basel, Beckham said "I would love my second worldwide store to be in Hong Kong, so I’m here also looking at space and speaking to all my retail partners," in an invitation-only talk at the event.

Beckham launched her eponymous line in September 2008, and it has since become one of the most anticipated shows at New York Fashion Week. The designer has shown an interest in fashion since her days as "Posh Spice", debuting as a model at London Fashion Week in 2000, at the Maria Grachvogel runway show. Appearances and collaborations ensued with Dolce & Gabbana, Rocawear, Roberto Cavalli and Harper’s Bazaar.

The award-winning designer launched her eponymous label in 2008 and opened her first ever flagship on Dover Street in London last fall.
