The Row to open debut European store in London

Published
Apr 9, 2019

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s fashion brand is coming to the UK this summer. The exclusive Mayfair area has been selected for The Row’s first store in London, which will also be the first in Europe.

Via The Row

The luxury fashion brand has flagship stores in Los Angeles and New York, but British fans had to buy its goods via fashion sites such as Matchesfashion.com or in high-end department stores like Harrods.

The London store opening will mark the minimalist label’s first venture in the European market 13 years after the famous American sisters established their label.

A shop deal has been agreed with property agent Colliers International, reported The Evening Standard citing industry sources. The unit, formerly used by art gallery Timothy Taylor, is located at 15 Carlos Place, on the same street as Matchesfashion.com and Roland Mouret.

Paul Souber, head of London retail at Colliers International said: “This is further evidence that luxury brands are not deterred by Brexit, and see London continuing to be one of the fashion capitals of the world providing a gateway to international and European shoppers.”

The Row’s London store is likely to stock the new menswear collection, first launched in October last year. Echoing the brand’s dedication to fine tailoring, the men’s line includes shirts, jackets, trousers, denim and knitwear, and accessories for men.
