Joint CEOs Ali Hall and Julie Lavington said his experience in “rapidly growing data driven businesses and strong relationships within the industry make him an invaluable addition to the board, as we continue to accelerate the growth of Sosandar.”

Booth has over 25 years' experience across the e-commerce, travel, retail and media sectors both in the UK and internationally. He was most recently Chief Marketing Officer and sat on the board of leading online accommodation site owner The Late Rooms Group.

Prior to this he occupied the same role at expanding beauty retailer The Hut Group. THG is one of Europe's fastest growing retail businesses and he was a key part of this, having led the implementation of a customer centric, multi-channel data driven marketing approach to speed up its growth.

He has also held the role of Group Marketing Director at Time Out Group, VP of Marketing at Getty Images and Global Business Development Director at Wace Group.

Last month, Sosandar said that full-year revenue would be at least £1.34 million in the year to March 31 with the second half having seen like-for-like sales surging by 268%. Its revenues reached record level in March and the momentum has continued into its latest financial year.
