San Marina appoints Axelle Mathery as CEO

French fashion retail group Vivarte is deep into a restructuring phase, and has made a top-management reshuffle at some of its brands. Axelle Mathery, General Manager of footwear label Cosmoparis since 2013, has been appointed CEO of San Marina, starting from 1st June 2017.

Axelle Mathery joined Cosmoparis and the Vivarte group in 2008, and has contributed to setting up a domestic and international distribution network of about eighty stores for the young brand.

Fanny Lescarret, currently collection director at Cosmoparis, takes over as General Manager for the footwear brand, which was unscathed by the restructuring measures put in place by Vivarte. She will report directly to Axelle Mathery, who at San Marina will succeed Nathalie Le Brun, the CEO for the last eight years.

According to a press release, Mathery's mission will be to upgrade San Marina's store network, expand the brand internationally and open more stores in France.

San Marina and Cosmoparis generated a consolidated revenue of €150 million with over 300 stores and 1,100 employees.
