Russell & Bromley Covent Garden flagship opens

Published

Russell & Bromley has opened its relocated Covent Garden flagship at 107 Long Acre with the company now in a prime position opposite Covent Garden tube station.

Russell & Bromley's new Covent Garden store

The property, which is owned by the Mercers Company, is another addition to the strong footwear offer in the area and follows the recent opening of the new Vans boutique on Neal Street.

High-end Russell & Bromley will now be one of the first shops that people see when they exit the tube station, which is always a good position to be in.

The new store was designed by the company’s in-house team and showcases an updated store format that is intended to be reflective of its luxury focus.

It covers 3,461 sq ft across the ground and lower-ground floors, and “provides an enhanced and engaging customer journey within a premium setting,” we’re told.

Russell & Bromley is still owned by the Bromley family and it said the Long Acre flagship will be a “core addition” to its portfolio of over 40 UK stores.

Owner Andrew Bromley said that “Covent Garden remains a great home for our products and this prime corner unit opposite one of London’s busiest tube stations enhances our retail presence in the capital. Our frontage on the junction of Long Acre and Neal Street is significantly greater and will provide an impressive backdrop for our new seasons’ collections”.

Simon Taylor, Property Director at the Mercers’ Company, added that the retailer's decision to relocate to another part of the firm’s estate “is evidence of the area’s successful status as a prime retail destination”. He also highlighted the firm’s investment in redeveloping the buildings on Long Acre with the brand’s new store complementing neighbouring units, including Boots and Vans, both having opened their latest UK concept stores earlier this year.
