With their manhood on display to the world, the photos from Rick Owens' fall/winter 2015 runway show had people either laughing or expressing indignance within a few hours on social media.

The catwalks have long been showing off the female anatomy, often with only just a touch of parsimony, but for menswear it's quite the opposite. Which is why the hundreds of photos clearly showing the male models' organs as they strutted down the runway have been such a success online.

A "buzz" which was not created by chance. Some of the short pieces were voluntarily presented without any undergarments, while some of the more roomy articles covered the whole body, except, of course, for that cut-out circle between the legs.

It remains to be seen whether this runway show makes a mark for its artistic side, since evidently most of the eyes in the audience were not exactly focused on the clothing.

Rick Owens is no stranger to using attention-grabbing stunts. For his spring/summer 2014 collection, the designer caused a stir when he had heavyset American "steppers" walk the runway wearing his creations, and for fall-winter 2014/15 he sent women of different ages, up to 50 years old even, down the catwalk.
