For its third annual event, TheCurvyCon will take place during New York Fashion Week. In addition to its array of panels and pop-up shops, the plus-size fashion convention will host a live-stream of the event on Yahoo Style.

Bloggers Chastity Garner and CeCe Olisa co-founded TheCurvyCon to create a physical space for the plus-size community to meet and discuss in person. Now in its third year, the event will take place on September 8 and 9 amidst New York Fashion Week.

This year’s conference will feature pop-up shops from brands such as ModCloth, Rachel Roy, Eloquii and Lane Bryant, and panels with the likes of stylist Stacy London, model Emme and the former executive director of the CFDA, Fern Mallis. The Emmy-nominated star of This Is Us, Chrissy Metz, will provide the keynote address.

The third edition of TheCurvyCon will also include fitness components, with the debut of Target’s plus-size fitness line, C9 Champion, and a Q&A with C9 Champion brand ambassador and health coach, Massy Arias, as well as a fitness class with a surprise guest.

TheCurvyCon will not be the only event representing plus-size fashion at New York Fashion Week. In July, Torrid announced it would show a collection at New York Fashion Week for the first time in the brand’s history.

More and more mainstream fashion brands have begun to put an emphasis on plus-size styles, partly thanks to the rise in popularity of plus-size bloggers and influencers. Lauren Conrad recently announced she would add plus sizes to her Kohl’s line, while new e-commerce site, 11 Honoré, launched this month with a focus on designer, plus-size clothing.
