Pitti Immagine has appointed a new President. On 28th February, the board of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana (CFMI), which controls Pitti Immagine, organiser of the Pitti Uomo, Bimbo, Pitti Filati, Pitti Fragranze and Taste trade shows, has announced the appointment of Claudio Marenzi as its new President.

Claudio Marenzi is a well-known name in Italian fashion: since 2013 he is the President of the employers' association of the Italian fashion industry, Sistema Moda Italia. Marenzi, 55, also leads Herno Ltd, the company founded by his father in 1948, specialised in sleeved articles manufacturing.

He takes over at Pitti Immagine from Gaetano Marzottto, at the helm since 2002. The President of CFMI, Andrea Cavicchi, has been appointed Vice-President of Pitti Immagine.

The other board members are Carlo Piacenza, Claudio Orrea, Niccolò Biondi, Micaela La Delivelec, Niccolò Manetti, Franco Baccani, and soon Raffaello Napoleone.
