Patagonia to open first store in Austria

Patagonia is opening its first store in Austria in Innsbruck in the autumn. The space will offer clothing for outdoor sports as well as special events.

Taking over 197 square metres of sales space, Patagonia will open its doors at Maria-Theresien-Strasse 57 in Innsbruck in the autumn of 2018 with clothing and gear for outdoor sports including climbing, hiking and ski. The opening will mark the sustainable brand’s debut in Austria.

A programme of special events, panel talks and film screenings will also take place at the new store to build its credentials as a hub for outdoor sports enthusiasts.

“Patagonia is consistently focused on having a positive impact on the communities with support, both through our commitment to better product quality and through environmental activism. The Innsbruck stores is an important step towards achieving this goal in Austria, as it allows us to further deepen our relationship with outdoor sports communities,” said Ryan Gellert, general manager of Patagonia.
