The Danish jewellery firm has signed an agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for application maintenance, application development, and end user services, including service desk, store support and IT security.

It joins a recent cloud solution agreement with Accenture to move its data, IT infrastructure and applications from its current data centres to the cloud.

Pandora’s IT operations were previously provided by around 60 suppliers.

The consolidation will help the business provide “better and more cost-efficient” digital services to its customers, company CIO Peter Cabello Holmberg commented in a statement.

The latest announcement is part of a wider restructure undertaken by the charm maker to inject new impetus into the business.

In addition to a cost-saving programme, which targets total annual cost reductions of DKK 1.2 billion ($176 million) by the end of 2020, the firm has recently overhauled its brand identity and launched a major marketing campaign.

A revamped store design has already made its debut in Birmingham and the concept will be rolled out to more shops later this year.
