The brand currently has 215 EBOs and will push the figure to 235 by the end of the financial year. Moreover, with already over 600 MBOs, the label aims to exceed 700 by the fiscal end.

Sixty large-format retail stores span across India but the central and eastern regions are currently less penetrated. Narinder Singh Dhingra, CMD of Numero Uno Clothing Ltd., stated that the latter areas will be the focus of the brand’s expansion this fiscal year.

Dhingra stated that, “we see this market being tapped fully in next three years.”

The label’s strongholds are the south and northwest regions and so expansion into more rural areas there is also scheduled for the brand’s five year plan, he said.

In terms of international expansion, Dhingra said that he would like to see the brand on the international market and the first port of call will be the Middle East.

However, a satisfactory licensing agreement is still in the process of being acquired. The current revenue prediction stands at 340 crore rupees (approximately 51 million dollars), according to Dhingra.

Numero Uno Clothing Ltd. was founded in 1987 as part of Hi Fashion Clothing Co. in India and launched Numero Uno Espana in 2009. The brand celebrates its 30th birthday this year.
