Moncler has obviously always wanted to go public. This time the subject has been discussed for the second quarter of 2011. Bloomberg quoted that the managers of Carlyle, the fund that owns 48% of the firm since 2008, confirmed the investors’ desire to divest about half of its shares, that is, 24%.

This operation would be through an IPO of Moncler SpA (Moncler, Henry Cotton's ...). The initial public offering would occur once its retail expansion develops further and its pre-orders for winter 2011/2012 take place in 2011’s second quarter. In 2009, the group, of which Remo Ruffini, the CEO, owns 38% of the capital, made 372 million in turnover in 2009.
