Katja Konradi, who has been managing director for design, marketing, product management and interior design at Marc Cain since October 2018, is leaving the company with immediate effect after just nine months.

Katja Konradi is leaving Marc Cain after nine months - MARC CAIN

Her role will not be replaced, the German designer brand announced. Instead, Marc Cain is looking at hiring a design director, who will lead the existing design team to shape and push forward the brand’s creative legacy.

This means that the brand’s design team, which had been in charge of designing the brand’s collections for many years, will be once again at the front of the label. The search for a design director, who will provide support and creative input, continues.

“This decision has nothing to do with out current orders, but is based on different ideas about the further development of Marc Cain. Our collections are well received by our most important customers,” explained Helmut Schlotterer, founder and owner of Marc Cain.

Helmut Schlotterer, chairman of the management board; Frank Rheinboldt, general sales manager; and Urs Konstantin Rouette, managing director of technical development, production, procurement and logistics; will oversee the company’s marketing and interior design divisions.
