Lacoste partners with Chinatown Market for graphic streetwear collection

Lacoste has partnered with Los Angeles-based streetwear label Chinatown Market for a collection of eye-popping streetwear.

Lacoste x Chinatown Market

The collection combines Lacoste's classic sporty silhouettes with Chinatown Market's nostalgic, graphic aesthetic for a range of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and caps. Featuring a co-branded 'XXL-version' of Lacoste's signature crocodile, embroidered crocodiles and a globe motif inspired by Chinatown Market's "soaring digital rise," the collection's color palette balances bright pastel shades on polos and short-sleeve shirts with standard black and white t-shirts and a hoodie.

The Lacoste x Chinatown Market collection will launch on September 7 at Chinatown Market and September 9 on Lacoste online.

Launched in 2016, Chinatown Market's bold streetwear designs and popular activations have caused the brand to see rapid growth, racking up 668k followers on Instagram and attracting celebrity fans including Jay-Z, Erykah Badu and LeBron James.

Lacoste and Chinatown Market previously partnered at 2018’s Hypefest for an interactive apparel collaboration. At the event -- a two-day celebration put on by Hypebeast and dedicated to streetwear, art, music, food and culture -- attendees were able to work with reps from Chinatown Market to create customized air-brushed Lacoste polo shirts.

Earlier this year, Lacoste unveiled another special project with the launch of a limited-edition Polo Merci soft-collar shirt, whose proceeds were dedicated to the Red Cross and Red Crescent in order to support volunteers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
