L’Oréal launches first worldwide Content Factory

L'Oréal inaugurated the official opening of the Content Factory, a production studio open to all employees to create original content for the Canadian subsidiary of the French cosmetics giant, in Montreal on Nov 13.

Frank Kollimar, President & CEO of L'Oréal Canada, called the Factory “an invaluable tool to achieve our objective of being more agile in social media and creating integrated brand communication to encourage engagement with our brands and drive business here in Canada.”

The Content Factory produces media including video makeup tutorials, product shots, testimonials and product reviews for digital platforms. To facilitate employee content production, the Factory provides professional lighting, photography and video equipment. Employees also have access to a professional photographer and creative director to provide them with the skills to develop creative, engaging content across social platforms.

L'Oréal Canada is a wholly-owned subsidiary of L'Oréal Group, the largest cosmetics company in the world. Headquartered in Montreal, it generated $1.070 bn insales in 2014 and employs more than 1,200 people. The company holds a portfolio of 35 brands and is present across all distribution networks: mass market, department stores, salons, pharmacies, drugstores, and branded retail.
