Within the new organisation led by Alexander Popoff, each region will retain its specific features in terms of structure and operating accounts, but "it will also reach a more significant critical mass with respect to the divisions and to centralised services," the group has stated. In 2015, the Africa-Middle East region generated a revenue of €727.9 million, equivalent to a 12.1% increase, while the Eastern Europe region's sales grew 9.8%, reaching €1.53 billion.

Alexandre Popoff joined the L'Orèal group in 1989 as a product manager at LaSCAD, and then acted in several managerial roles within the global beauty giant. In January 2010 he became part of the group's executive committee as General Manager of the Latin America and Africa-Middle East regions, before concentrating on managing Latin America as of January 2012. In July 2013 he was appointed General Manager of the Eastern Europe region.
