Kering has announced a number of changes to its board of directors’ composition: one member is leaving, another's mandate will not be renewed, one more has been confirmed, and three newly appointed members are joining. After Kering’s next AGM, scheduled on April 28 2022, and subject to the shareholders’ approval of the changes, the French luxury group’s new board is set to include 14 members, of which seven are independent directors, and six are women, the members representing six different nationalities, hailing as they do from the UK, China, France, Italy, Ivory Coast and Turkey.

Having been appointed in January as board president at French water utility giant Suez, Sophie L'Hélias has resigned from Kering's board, which she had joined in 2016. Yseulys Costes, a board member since 2010, has for her part opted not to put up her mandate for renewal, “having lost the status of independent member,” as Kering indicated in a press release. The group also announced the renewal of the independent member mandate of Daniela Riccardi, managing director of Moleskine, which is set to expire in April.

Kering's board will also welcome three new independent members: the board president of CNP Assurances, Véronique Weill, Turkish executive Yonca Dervisoglu, vice-president marketing for the EMEA region at Google, and the board chairman of Sanofi, Serge Weinberg.
