James Gold to depart from Neiman Marcus Group

Neiman Marcus Group president and chief merchandising officer James ("Jim") Gold will be resigning from the company as of March 15, the company has announced.


Gold's departure date lines up with the March 15 retirement of Neva Hall, executive VP of stores at Neiman Marcus. - Via Neiman Marcus


Gold ends his time with the company after serving in various executive roles for nearly three decades, including vice president, director of the Neiman Marcus Last Call Clearance Division, president of specialty retail at Neiman Marcus, and president and chief executive officer at Bergdorf Goodman, bergdorfgoodman.com, and The Neiman Marcus Group LLC. He began his role as president and CMO at the group in April of 2014. 

Gold's departure date lines up with the March 15 retirement of Neva Hall, executive vice president of stores at Neiman Marcus, as well as the opening of a new Neiman Marcus location in Manhattan's Hudson Yards

This appointment marks the latest executive shift for the retail giant, following the appointment of Matt Marcotte as chief operating officer of Neiman Marcus subsidiary, Bergdorf Goodman.

Gold's replacement has yet to be announced.
