Issey Miyake collaborates with United Nude

Issey Miyake has presented a new footwear project in collaboration with Dutch brand United Nude.

The collection is inspired by Miyake's 'Ten Sen Men' (point, line and surface) concept, combined with United Nude's architectural approach to the world of footwear. The new models created by the two labels' designers, Yoshiyuki Miyamae for Miyake and Rem D. Koolhaas for United Nude, are functional yet ironic, colourful and cocooning.

In the Rock model, the most evident structural feature are the heels, their stark lines seemingly carved out of stone. They are available in six bright colours: white, black, pink, beige, yellow and green.

Another model focuses on a cocooning effect: the Wrap shoe is designed to wrap around the foot, using a single strip of leather. An elastic band is included in the uppers, ensuring a perfect fit and making the shoes easy to wear. This model is available in three colours, white, black and silver, in two versions, flat and with heels.
