Frechen joins Intersport from Adidas, where he spent almost 16 years in the North America and Emerging Markets divisions and held a variety of roles across business development strategy and marketing including General Marketing Manager and Brand Director.

Based in Bern, Switzerland, Intersport is one of the world’s largest sports retailers, with operations in 44 countries and with over 5,500 stores worldwide.

Frechen will join the Swiss sports company this week, and help the retailer transition into a new strategic set up in response to changing consumer habits and retail environment.

“Christoph is an outstanding addition to the senior management team at IIC, bringing unrivalled depth of experience within marketing,” said Esperanza Search, the recruitment company that helped find a new marketing manager for Intersport.

Rosmarie Burkhalter, senior director of HR at Intersport added “Christoph was ideal and best fit our requirements. He is a young, bright individual who has great experience and we believe he will have a long and successful career with us. Our expectations for him are exceptionally high.”
