Wellness-focused shoe company FitFlop has announced the appointment of Gordon Knox as COO. Starting Monday, he’ll “manage all operational activities for the business and drive excellence”.

He has a strong CV in both fashion and retail with roles including Distribution Director at Burberry and Operations Manager at Argos. Most recently, he was Business Transformation, Logistics and IT Director at Superdry and was responsible for the company’s award-winning logistics strategy and global logistics budget, multi-channel operations, sample management and all reverse logistics.  He also led the firm’s the logistics robotic strategy.

Knox said it’s a “pivotal period for growth” at his new firm and with “wellness front and centre for consumers, FitFlop is ideally positioned to own this space for footwear”.

CEO Gianni Georgiades added: “These are important times at FitFlop and I am delighted to have Gordon join the executive team. He brings with him a wealth of experience, that will help us to drive the operational excellence needed to support the acceleration of our ongoing growth strategy and build on the company’s existing success.”

Georgiades is himself a relative newcomer to the business having only joined in April. He’d moved from the Lacoste Footwear joint venture with Pentland Brands and had also worked as omnichannel MD for EMEA at the Deckers-owned Ugg brand and as Coach’s vice-president for Europe.
