Fiorini International, the Italian shopping bag manufacturer active in the mass market and luxury segments, has closed 2015 on a positive note. Its revenue was just shy of the €100 million mark (for the record, €97.5 million), and EBITDA reached 10.44%, further proof of the favourable outlook.

Luigi Fiorini, the President of Fiorini International

The first 8 months of 2015 have confirmed the growth trend, with a 5% increase year-on-year. The forecast for 2016 is to reach and perhaps bypass the €100 million mark.

"2015 was a tough year, but also one full of motivations and new challenges. The figures confirm that our efforts at innovation and research, designed to guarantee the highest quality and the best service to our clients, are paying off, allowing our group to keep on expanding," stated Luigi Fiorini, President of the Fiorini International group. "In 2016 we are confirming our leadership in Italy and Europe, and our presence in the Far East is yielding significant results. The area is strategic for our business, and we are present there with our Chinese subsidiary Fiorini International Trading Shanghai Co. Ltd.”

Fiorini International has invested in an extension of its manufacturing facilities, which now cover a 35,000 m2 area thanks to the creation of a new automated warehouse, with storage room for up to 18,000 pallets. The investment will allow the group to further improve its logistics service, notably strengthening the ties with its many clients in the fashion and luxury goods industry.

Fiorini International Ltd. was created in 1946 to manufacture paper cement sacks, used for Italy's post-war reconstruction effort. Over time, it has diversified its range, specialising in shopping bag production. The company's headquarters are in Trecastelli, near Ancona, Italy. Fiorini International currently operates three commercial subsidiaries in Milan, Paris and Shanghai, and a manufacturing plant in Prague. Its overall manufacturing area extends over approximately 30,000 m2, with a staff of 480 employees, 410 of whom are Italy-based.
