The shop is located at the Dam tram stop, which is situated at the Dam square in front of the Magna Plaza shopping center (also home to an America Today store). The gift shop is minutes from the city’s busiest shopping street, Kalverstraat, and other retail destinations such as the high street Nieuwendijk and the Amsterdam branch of department store chain de Bijenkorf.

America Today said that the store, dubbed ‘24/7 One-Stop Give Shop’, is especially designed for people who are on the go and who may have forgotten to buy Christmas gifts earlier in the month. The shop will operate until the Dutch Tweede Kerstdag, the second day of Christmas celebrated in the Netherlands.

The shop offers apparel, accessories and lifestyle items for men and women. The range includes socks, underwear, mugs and a beer pong set, all items are priced between €4.99 and €14.99.If products are no longer available at the tram stop, customers are able to buy gifts at the America Today store at Magna Plaza shopping center as well as online.

With the shop, the retailer wants to offer customers more than just a product and offer gifts that symbolize an experience or special thought, it said.

America Today launched in 1989 as a go-to brand for American college style brands such as Eastpak, Levi’s, Wrangler and Russell. Today, the retailer operates more than 70 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany offering collections for men, women and children. The retailer is also available online via its own web shop.
