To complement its Spring 2019 “Dry Anywhere” campaign, Toronto-based outerwear brand Canada Goose is bringing a rain-activated art installation of the same name to seven cities worldwide throughout April.

The installation, which launched in London on Wednesday, April 17, features raindrop-shaped sculptures coated in reactive paint, which reveals colorful patterns when it comes into contact with water.

The installation also has an integrated automatic sprinkler system to ensure that visitors can appreciate the sculptures’ changing colors whatever the weather.

Over the course of the month, the installation will also touch down in Milan, Beijing, Hong Kong, Paris, New York and Vancouver. Entry is free of charge at all destinations.

Similarly to the brand’s seasonal campaign, which follows five urban photographers as they document city life in spring, the installation aims to celebrate rain artistically. It also follows hot on the heels of the release of Canada Goose’s Nomad rainwear capsule, which was accompanied by a photo and video campaign featuring Japanese artists Kouichi Okamoto and Aoi Yamaguchi, who explain how rain is a source of inspiration for them.

Canada Goose has not revealed the dates that the “Dry Anywhere” installation will set up in its other venues but fans of the brand who are signed up to its Canada Goose Basecamp hub can find out more information through the service.
