Camper: Romain Kremer, first creative director

Camper continues to build its fashion credentials. The Spanish footwear brand has just created a new creative director position. Logically, they have named the French designer Romain Kremer to the post. Logically, because the designer, who was honored at Hyères in 2005 with a special award for creativity, has already been designing capsule collections for Camper since 2009 as part of the brand’s Camper Together project.

According to CEO Miguel Fluxa, the appointment should help the brand take the next step.

Born in 1982, Romain Kremer took part in the official French Federation of Couture calendar when he put on his own label’s first show in January 2006, one year after presenting his menswear collection at Hyères.

In 2011, he was appointed creative director of menswear at Thierry Mugler, where he worked under the direction of Nicola Formichetti, becoming a fashion consultant for Camper two years later.
