British funnyman James Corden (host of "The Late Late Show" on CBS) will be entertaining the great and good of the US fashion world in New York on Monday night as the host of the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, which honor the biggest talents in the industry.

Marc Jacobs, the Olsen sisters and Tom Ford are just some of the stars up for an accolade during this year's prestigious annual ceremony, hosted by the Council of Fashion Designers of America

Titles are awarded in the categories of womenswear, menswear and accessories, with achievements in journalism and creative vision also rewarded. The ceremony is topped off with the presentation of the highly coveted "lifetime achievement" gong and the "fashion icon" award, won this year by CFDA honoree singer, producer, designer and all-round creative Pharrell Williams. Fashion darling Kim Kardashian will also be on hand to inject some glamour into the proceedings and present the Media Award in Honor of Eugenia Sheppard to Instagram.

Competitors for the "Womenswear Designer of the Year" award include Michael Kors, Jacobs and Mary-Kate and Ashley for The Row. Rag & Bone designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville are among the creatives who will battle it out for the "Menswear Designer of the Year" title.

Meanwhile Alexander Wang, Irene Neuwirth and Tabitha Simmons are among the nominees for "Accessories designer of the Year." Several other designers are in with a chance of winning the separate Swarovski-sponsored awards in the fields of womenswear, menswear and accessories.

This year's Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award has been dedicated to designer Betsey Johnson, while CEO of Gap Millard "Mickey" Drexler will take home the Founder's Award in Honor of Eleanor Lambert. The International Award goes to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino.

The CFDA is a not-for-profit trade association made up of more than 480 of America's biggest womenswear, menswear, jewelry, and accessory designers, and dedicated to strengthening the U.S. position in the fashion world.

The CFDA Fashion Awards will be held on June 1 at the Lincoln Center, New York.
