The festival (14-16 October and then 22-23 October), will mark the first time visitors can explore inside this Grade II-listed landmark and see its mix of stores, bars, restaurants and leisure venues.

It accompanies the first British and international brands opening inside the Power Station’s Turbine Halls, which have been restored to their former glory. New stores opening from October include Ralph Lauren, Mulberry, Theory, Lacoste, Polestar, Aēsop, Space NK, Ace + Tate, Lululemon, Hugo Boss, Jo Malone London, Uniqlo and Mango.

The centre will also host more than 40 local independent small businesses selling homewares, clothing, artwork and more. Further brands will open throughout the rest of 2022 and into 2023.

The new pedestrianised high street, Electric Boulevard, will be the main gateway between the Power Station and the neighbourhood’s Zone 1 London Underground Station. Brands already announce to be opening there from 14 October include Zara and David Clulow.

The Festival of Power programme will include live music, walkabout performers, acrobats and brand activations, together with family-friendly activities and installations.

Headlining the festival is ‘Arcadia’s Lords of Lightning’, described as a “duelling spectacle” involving multi-million-volt bolts fired between the two ‘Lords’, hosted in the six-acre Power Station Park on the evening of Friday 14 October from 7pm.

Other highlights will include the official countdown to the Power Station opening its doors from 10am, which will take place in Malaysia Square to the south of the main building.

Also opening in October is Lift 109, a unique glass elevator experience inside the northwest chimney, “offering epic panoramic views of London from a height of 109m”.
