To prepare for the upcoming Met Gala "China: Through the Looking Glass," Barneys has released a capsule collection inspired by the event made in collaboration with designer Huishan Zhang.

The collection consists of two gowns and two dresses that range from $2,495 and $7,800. The outfits combine the Chinese spirit and culture with Western craftsmanship and style. The collection is exclusive to Barneys New York and is available in select Barneys New York Stores and on its website.

Zhang, who was born in China, is based in London where he designs his collections that are similar in aesthetic to the Barneys capsule collection in that he combines Eastern heritage and Western influences. The Central Saint Martins alum was awarded ‘Chinese Designer of the Year’ by Numero China in 2012 and he won the Dorchester Fashion Prize. His collections are carried in parts of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Kuwait, Qatar, Russia, France, the UK and exclusively at Barneys in the United States.
