Andrea Rosso is embarking upon a new fashion adventure. In early January, the son of Renzo Rosso, the founder of legendary Italian denim brand Diesel, launched his "new project" MYAR. The small collection consists of twenty or so pieces per season, including t-shirts and pants, combining military, sports and streetwear dress codes.

The name of the collection is simply an anagram of the word Army. But it also contains Andrea Rosso’s initials, and can be read in another form as "my AR", emphasizing the personal nature of the clearly independent project.

In 1994, Andrea Rosso founded the streetwear brand 55DSL. The latter was terminated in 2014 after 20 years for spring/summer 2015, and integrated into the brand Diesel.

Andrea Rosso currently serves as creative director of all of Diesel’s licenses, while his brother Stefano is co-CEO of OTB, Renzo Rosso’s fashion umbrella group, which includes Diesel and other brands such as Marni.
