Aéropostale and IHL Group, a New York-based lingerie and sleepwear company, announced on Tuesday a multi-year license agreement.

Aéropostale

The partnership between Aéropostale and IHL Group is an effort by the teen specialty retailer to expand into new categories and distribution channels in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada.

The new partnership also comes 6 months after Aéropostale filed for bankruptcy and 2 months after a consortium comprised of Authentic Brands Group, Simon Property Group and General Growth Properties acquired the retailer.

The first collection for holiday 2018 will consist of bras, sports bras, babydolls, bodysuits and panties in fabrics and details such as lace, microfiber appliqués and seamless cuts. The collection will retail from $18 and the panties will retail for $10.

"We are honored to be partnering with such an established brand in the teen category as Aéropostale," said Sami Souid, President of IHL Group. "We are thrilled to bring our quality and trend-driven offerings to the Aéropostale's fashion conscious teen customers nationwide."

Aéropostale joins a number of brands that work with IHL Group to produce intimates. The lingerie and sleepwear authority this year entered into a six-year licensing partnership with Elie Tahari to produce intimates and sleepwear for women, men’s undergarments and children’s sleepwear for the brand. IHL produces intimates for 8 additional brands including Ed Hardy and Bunny Bottom.
