On September 12, Torrid will present its latest collection at New York Fashion Week, making its debut at the event.

Torrid’s runway show will present the brand’s Spring 2018 collection, with 40 looks scheduled to go down the runway. The spring line will include a mix of rock-n-roll and bohemian styles for sizes 10 to 30. Nyx Professional Makeup will also be working with the brand on the runway show.

Torrid’s New York Fashion Week debut will also coincide with the brand’s third annual model search, in which amateur models compete for the chance to become the “Face of Torrid 2018” and earn a contract with the brand. Semi-finalists will walk at the September show, with the likes of makeup artist Priscilla Ono and model Candice Huffine making up the panel of judges. The ultimate winner will be selected by Torrid fans.

The plus-size clothing retailer is based in Los Angeles and currently operates more than 500 stores throughout the United States and Canada. It is one of the most well known plus-size apparel companies in an era where inclusiveness with regards to size is becoming an increasingly prominent issue in the fashion community. Brands such as Tanya Taylor and Nike have recently added plus-sizes to their offerings, and plus-size models such as Ashley Graham and Jordyn Woods have become more visible in the fashion industry.
