Norma Kamali to host weekly SiriusXM lifestyle show

Norma Kamali is launching a weekly lifestyle radio show exclusively on SiriusXM. The designer will host 'Seriously? With Norma Kamali,' which will feature celebrity guests and influencers.

Topics discussed in the six-week series include fashion, health, wellness and female entrepreneurs. Kamali will discuss a gauntlet of lifestyle issues such as ageing gracefully along with thought leaders in the hour-long talk-show.

Kamali said the radio show will let her discuss topics she is most passionate about. "My job has always been to empower women through style, fitness, health, beauty, as well as mentoring female entrepreneurs."

She added, "I believe an empowered woman who reaches her potential is truly invincible."

Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer SiriusXM, called Kamali an iconic leader in fashion and lifestyle. Greenstein said, "She has created brands that are cutting edge and always relevant with a passion for not only fashion, but for subjects women are talking about with friends and mentors."

Kamali rose to fame in the 1970s with innovative design concepts as well as a vintage clothing store business. Her designs included athleisure, before it was a trend, where she used sweatshirt fleece for dresses and non-traditional athletic pieces. She pioneered the sleeping bag coat and high heeled sneaker.

Kamali's show kicks off on SiriusXM on March 8 at noon ET. It is currently signed for six weeks of talks and joins an existing lineup of guest-curated content on Sirius.

Subscribers with streaming access will be able to listen to Kamali's show online, through the app, and through smart TVs, Amazon Alexa devices, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, and Sonos connected speakers.
