Jack Wills is seeing more change at a senior level with the company set to get a new marketing chief, the first time it has appointed anyone to this post. Claire Waugh joins as CMO next month after having been director of marketing (fashion and beauty) at luxury label Burberry.

Prior to this she spent 10 years running marketing for the EMEA unit of coffee giant Starbucks and started her career with DIY-to-interiors store chain Homebase.

She will report directly to founder and CEO Peter Williams who said she “has the vision, talent and drive to help market the brand around the globe effectively to our many different customers and in a way which fits the very unique brand of Jack Wills."

He also cited her time spent at Burberry as being crucial for giving her “a fantastic understanding of fashion and beauty, all of which will be relevant to her work at Jack Wills.”

The latest announcement comes after the company reshuffled its senior management team this spring with two newcomers including CFO Mike Doyle and Mark Wright being promoted to the new role of multi-channel director. That role combines for the first time the e-commerce head and retail stores head jobs.
