The European footwear industry has given a vote of confidence to its incumbent President. Its supranational representative body, the European Footwear Industry Confederation (CEC), held its AGM on 29th June at the Venice Chamber of Commerce, and once again elected Cleto Sagripanti as its president.

Cleto Sagripanti was elected for a first mandate in 2015. He is the President of Italian group Holding Moda, owner of the brands Kallisté, Alberto Fermani, N°21 and Carven.

CEC was created 30 years ago to collectively represent various national footwear industry federations across Europe, accounting for nearly 87% of the industry's output in the EU. It regularly organises the World Footwear Congress and the International Footwear Forum.
