Divided into six sections (Fashion, Rock, Neo BCBG (Bon Chic Bon Genre), Glamour, Street Sports and Boho), the models of the day have were disguised by the Yves Saint Laurent team and had their hair styled by L'Oreal. Participants were given an introduction to walking on catwalk before being signaled to form a single line.

The installation of the 75 m long catwalk platform required the street Gluck (Paris IX) to be closed, which starts at Galeries Lafayette Homme. But given the large number of spectators and passers-by present, the assembly of people caused some problems at Rue Scribe. In the end, the record breaking event was worth it for the Galeries Lafayette: the catwalk will be entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest catwalk in the world. "The number to beat was 250" told the judge sent for the occasion.
